Arti's First ShowArti's First Show: After many months of hard training in the school on his Shetland pony Dinky, Arti was ready to tackle his first show. And so, with Mummy and Daddy in tow for moral support, Dinky was loaded on the lorry of and we all went.

With a number of shows running at Holt Farm, Mummy had pencilled Arti in to do the last three classes. Wearing his new jodhpurs and riding boots he looked perfect although, as the weather was good and hot, he declined the offer of a riding jacket.

First up was 'Cutest Pony' and, whilst we all think he is cute, Dinky was up against some stiff competition including two other Shetland ponies. Still Arti claimed the first rosette of his career with 7th place. Next class was 'Golden Oldie' and, being 32 yrs old, Dinky was always going to be in with a chance. Arti was asked to trot (for the first time ever!) and the pair carried it off with a fine win. Last class was 'Judge's Favourite' and, again with some stiff competition, Arti and Dinky finished 9th.

With BIG smiles all round, everyone was delighted with the day; especially Arti.
